In The Community

Lewis & Raulerson – Friendly Express Charitable Foundation, Inc.

Believes in giving back to the community.

Our mission is to give back to local charities that enhance the lives of children and families in the communities we serve. We give back in many ways throughout the year from our annual Charity Golf Tournament to our Feeding Families on Friday program. Below are some of the charities we support and hold dear to our heart.

Annual Charity Golf Tournament

Lewis & Raulerson – Friendly Express Charitable Foundation, Inc. held Annual Charity Golf Classic on Jekyll Island. With the help of generous vendors, the foundation broke a record for golfers in attendance and money raised.  All funds will be donated to regional charities.  The foundation recognized it’s top 5 charities at the tournament, they include: Dreams Come True, Satilla Hospice, Kingdom Care, Coastal Coalition for Children, and Georgia Baptist Children’s Home.  We appreciate everyone’s tireless and unselfish support each year. Were proud to announce the charity has raised over $901,000 in the past 17 years.

Feeding Families on Friday

In addition to our Wonderful Charities we support each year, we also focus on the hunger crisis in our communities.

Feeding Families on Fridays, Friendly Express and Lewis and Raulerson have donated over $163,000 to local food banks, pantries and soup kitchens thru their Feeding Families on Friday initiative. Every Friday when a customer buys ANY Size fountain drink or coffee, we will donate 10 cent for each cup sold. 100% of the money collected has been distributed to Food Pantries in the same community as the store that collected it. In 2013 we decided to address a growing concern that affected all of our communities, and after speaking to all our employees we discovered the overwhelming need was to help feed people in our communities, hence Feeding Families on Friday was conceived. This program was designed not to be a short term fund raising effort but has become a way of life.
